Anjar, situated about 300 km from Ahmedabad and nearly 10 miles from the gap of Kutch is the oldest city of Kutch with a history of 1400 years. Anjar is a main city near Bhuj famous among tourists for the Saint of Jesal and Toral.

Bhuj is the administrative city of Kutch that was once the capital of the Princely state of Kutch. The cenotaphs of the former rulers and the CHHATRI of Rao Lakhpatji in Bhuj are fine specimen of Kachchhi architecture. Prag Mahal

Prag Mahal leaves a spell bound impression on travellers with its structure, especially Corinthian pillars and Jali work. Inside the palace, tourists must climb the 45m high bell tower to have a mesmerizing view of the walled city of Bhuj. There is also a small temple in the courtyard behind the palace with nicely carved stonework.

Aaina Mahal is famous among travellers for housing an awesome Hall of Mirrors which has white marble walls that are covered with mirrors and gilded ornaments. The most distinctive feature of Aaina Mahal is its Indo-European architecture, the credit of which goes to master craftsman Ramsinh Malam, who trained as an artisan in Europe for 17 years. Ramsinh Malam hand crafted the fountains, mirrors, and doors inlaid with gold and ivory in Aaina Mahal.

Kutch Museum is the oldest Museum in Gujarat that was established in 1877. Main attraction for touists is its largest collection of Kshatrapa inscriptions, dating back to the 1st century AD. There is a separate section in the museum which is devoted to tribal culture; it exhibits many examples of ancient artifacts, folk arts and crafts. Kutch museum also has exhibits of embroidery, paintings, arms, musical instruments, gold and silver ornaments, textiles, sculpture and precious metalwork.
